Order Processing

Our intent, here at The Skate Guy, is to provide you with fast, efficient, and cost effective service in the processing of your order. When products are currently in stock, we aim to process and dispatch all orders within 2 days. Approximately 75% of the items displayed on this site ship within 24 - 72 hours of receipt of your order and will arrive in 2 - 7 days from shipping date. 10% ship within 3-5 working days, 10% can take up to 4 weeks depending upon the stock of our suppliers/manufacturers.

Most items will ship from us, some will ship directly from our suppliers to you. You may receive two or three packages to complete a large order. There will not be any additional shipping charges because of multiple deliveries. And partial shipping of orders is done at our own discretion.

Within the "lower 48" shipping is standard ground service. Shipping charges shown in the shopping cart are based on estimated weight, distance and packaging.

We will ship UPS ground, USPS Priority Mail, USPS Parcel Post. Unless otherwise requested and if possible. Some items are drop shipped from manufacturers or distributors as many skating products are custom manufactured or built to order. Orders will be shipped on weekdays only.

Regular shipping and handling rates are as follows.

Ground shipping is free for orders of $250 or more in the Continental US. Overnight or two day air is available. Additional shipping will be billed as follows (these rates are charged on top of our normal shipping rates). Please e-mail with additional instructions prior to ordering.

Next Day Air add $60.
Next Day Air Saver add $50.
2nd Day Air add $35.00.
3 Day Select add $25.00

Typical Shipping times for UPS ground.

Number of days shown on map are typical shipping times for UPS Ground service from Quakertown, PA. Please note that these times are business days from the time we ship your order excluding the day your order ships. Business days are Monday through Friday excluding major holidays. These times show typical time in transit but actual time may be longer, especially before holidays and when shipping to rural areas. For example: If your shipping address is in the "3 Day" range shown on the map and we ship your order on a Thursday, your order would likely arrive on the following Tuesday. UPS Next Day Air (1 business day), 2nd Day Air (2 business days), or 3 Day Select (3 business days) shipping are also available.

Orders received by 2 p.m. eastern time should ship on the same day. Orders received after 2 p.m. eastern time ship the next business day. Orders received on the weekend ship on the following Monday. Most customers receive their orders within 5 - 7 working days. Costs include shipping & handling to a single address. Business days are Monday-Friday excluding major holidays.

Payment

We ONLY Accept Credit Cards through the PAYPAL shopping cart. We also accept UNITED STATES POSTAL MONEY & U.S. BANK MONEY ORDERs. These are money orders which are easily obtained from any US Post Office branch or US Bank. This is the cheapest and safest way to send a money order. We will not accept money orders from any other source or any other types of payment. Please do not send us any other type as this will be returned to you and delay your order. This is safer for you and us, and also helps us keep our prices low.

PA Residents please add 6% sales tax.

Buyers are no longer required to set up a PayPal account when making a purchase !!

Pricing

The price you see listed is what your final cost will be with shipping if applicable. PA Residents will be charged a 6% sales tax. We recommend that you e-mail or call before mailing your order so it can be verified. This site is constantly updated, some times however the prices are changed by our suppliers or the manufacturer before we are aware of it. All prices and availability on items marked 'Clearence', 'Limited Time', or ' Sale ' are not guaranteed. These items are sold on a first come, first served basis. Always recheck the prices before you order, as prices can change. We will not honor old prices for money orders dated after a price change, even if the order form is dated before.

Return Policy

To return products please call or fax 215-258-9914, or email Tom@TheSkateGuy.com for authorization. Return requests must be made within seven days of delivery. If an order needs to be returned it must be in new condition. We recommend that when trying on new skates or boots that they are tried on in an area that is carpeted. Boots and frames may not be molded or mounted, and must be free of scuffs and scrapes. There may be a 20% restocking fee as well as shipping on the return. Any product returned for an exchange may only be charged a shipping fee. No returns or exchanges on special orders, used, or clearence items. When your item has been recieved you will be credited for the return. For exchanges you will be charged for the shipping of the correct items.

Special Orders

If you would like an item or brand that we don't carry just call or e-mail us and let us know, we will order it or try to obtain the item for you at no additional charge. Special Orders are not refundable. This includes includes non-stock and stock items that are special ordered.

Manufacturers & Products

Manufacturs update their products periodically without notice. So not all items will be recieved as shown. Graphic designs, colors, logo's and styles may change due to volume being sold, new year updates or general availability of material. The latest version of the items are usually shipped.

Privacy Policy

Information collected and used on this site is for the sole purpose of The Skate Guy. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to any one else in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. We request information from the user on our order form.  Here a user must provide contact information (like name and shipping address). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer's orders only.  If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the user.

Exchange Policy

To exchange products, please call or fax us at (215) 258 - 9914, or send us an email at  Tom@TheSkateGuy.com for authorization.  We can then arrange for the swap.  Please return the products unused in the original packaging with a copy of the invoice.

Satisfaction Promise

The Skate Guy wants you to be completely satisfied with your purchase! When you receive your order, please inspect all merchandise for any defects or poor workmanship. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, Please inform us either by sending an e-mail to Tom@TheSkateGuy.com or by calling (267)-640-2868.  We cannot accept any parcels freight collect or COD. Please return it unused and in the original packaging within 7 days for replacement or refund, less shipping charges. Custom orders are excluded . Include a copy of your invoice.
